With the Play/Learn project, I'm supposed to:
i. Choose from the list and investigate it remorselessly.
ii. be able to simply, clearly and factually explain it
iii. produce an object, experience or thing that teaches an audience something concrete.
The assessment Criteria/Learning outcomes should be:
1. Subject Knowledge Analysis:A coherent critical position in relation to detailed awareness and understanding of key historical and contemporary debates/contexts within art / design.
I think this has to do with understanding the 'art-based concept, skill and technique' I'm thinking of using on the subject I chose through some research. I think I also need to find some overlaps in history to inform what I'm going to do. I don't fully understand so I'll pass it by a tutor later.
2. Research:A sustained research methodology which critically engages with your specialist field of study.
for this I guess I need to research (a)the history of anatomical science, more specifically humans, (b)the era of its prevalence, and (c)its contribution to medical science. (d)I'll look at the people who developed the anatomical diagrams and models, (e).anatomical science in modern times too, and (f)practices and technology that improved it.
3. Experimentation, Technical Competence:and factually explain it. The integration of concepts,
processes and skills in order to realise, select and present your intentions as a coherent body of
work.
Basically start doing some experiments combining my idea/concept(that is art-based) with the subject i have chosen -and even some done separately.
4. Personal and Professional Development: Independence in planning and organising your own learning, in relation to all aspects of your work, through a process of analysis, reflection and self-evaluation.
This is about how i get through all of the above is a somewhat systematic way; analysing my work, correcting myself, seeking help when I need to, getting feedback on my work and asking for suggestions in improving what I've done so far.
I'll print this out and confirm it with my tutors.
EDIT: Talked to my tutor about Subject Knowledge Analysis and I realised it's more about the philosophy and theory behind Art. I'll have to look into debates and discussions about the Artforms.
